Since starting to work with clay in 2006, making forms on the wheel has become my passion. There is something so soothing and meditative about it. I create pieces that I love to share with others, making with my hands each piece is unique and the forms evolve and change constantly.
There is no factory, no production line, just a constant movement in the work as I grow and learn it all gets translated through my hands into the finished pieces.
After completing a Diploma of Education as well as a Bachelor of Arts at Curtin University of Technology in WA, Danica is now a Perth based Artist and Teacher. She has won awards for her ceramic artworks, has been a part of many exhibitions and group shows, and is represented by several galleries within WA.
She creates objects to be treasured, adored and used. Her range explores the notion of ‘Rediscovering Ceramics’ and is inspired by the Australian bush, flora, sea and landscape; specifically its unseen or hidden qualities. Each piece goes on its own journey, and is completely unique.
